A white sole tells everyone how thick it is. A black one doesn't. That's the whole idea behind the Blackout. Stretch knit upper, leather at the heel, black rubber outsole, black laces: the eye slides right past your feet and lands on you. Can anyone tell?
No. The inches sit inside the shoe, and the all-black sole has no white line to show its thickness. No logo, no heel poking out the back. People see a clean black sneaker.
